It’s a very very very bad disease. The kids are born very sick. They usually don’t eat very well and have to have a tube put in their stomachs. They have intellectual disability, and usually won’t ever learn to use words (or just have a very few words). They also crawl and walk late or not at all. Unfortunately there’s not much we can do to cure them, only treat the symptoms and give them special schools and things like speech therapy. It’s pretty sad actually 🙁
