I’m very optimistic about feminism in the 21st century. As a scientist, I never encountered any discrimination against my gender. However, decades ago, women were looked down upon in academia. I believe things will only get better in the future.

Equality for all people regardless of their gender is really important. In the west this mostly concerns discrimination. In other countries it is important because women lack fundamental human rights just because they are women. So I think feminism has an important role in the 21st century, it’s different from the role is had in the 20th century and it will probably be different in the 22nd.

It is still important to stress the equality of sexes (as well as race and others) and advocate for equal opportunities.

Feminism is humanism and it will continue to be important forever. As long as there are injustices in the world, it will be important to stand up for those who have less of a platform to be heard.

I believe that it’s important- I also believe equal treatment for everyone is important regardless of race, gender, etc. It will continue to remain important in our lifetime I believe!
