      Hi Meghan!

Great question! The most interesting thing I have discovered is a mutation in our cell’s DNA inside a gene called SF3B1. We found out that people who have mucosal melanoma – which is melanoma of their nose and mouth- have a mutation in this one gene at the same spot. We are trying to find a way to treat those patients with a medicine that stops that mutation from working. We hope that it can save lots of lives!
