• Question: Do you know how an insects mutates into a different bug, as in a super bug?

      Usually natural mutation would not make a bug mutate into a different species, it would make this bug a little different from other bugs of the same species though. So, it might not have super power as we expect…

      Insects can have mutations in their genome and these can change their physical characteristics. Like Sharon said, they will not turn into a different species instantly.

      The term superbug is also used for bacteria that are resistant to all antibiotics available. So in that sense, through multiple generations of insects it might be possible to acquire some sort of unexpected characteristics within the limits of biology 🙂
