Well, it depends on the definition of “male”. If we are talking about sex chromosome, only individuals with “XX” (female) can give birth. If we’re talking about gender, which is more of a social than biological term, male can give birth as long as he has “XX”.

Nope! Although we can artificially get eggs and sperm to meet up and form a zygote, males have no place for the zygote/fetus to gestate (or “grow up”) because they don’t have a womb.

Great question!! Depends on the species actually. Male fish from the Syngnathidae family (such as the seahorses and the leafy seadragon) give birth instead of the females! The females lay their eggs and then the males fertilize and carry the eggs, also giving birth to the offspring.

I was going to add in that it depends on the species- male seahorses are the ones that get pregnant and give birth!

This question is species dependent , as stated. But for humans, no males cannot give birth.
Flatworms, on the other hand, are hermaphrodites – they have both type of gonads, produce both eggs and sperm and can reproduce as either male or female!
